Turmeric Roasted Potatoes with Cultivo Turmeric Powder
Pre-prep: Always wash your potatoes thoroughly. Be sure and cut out any bad pieces. Then dice into small bite sized pieces or in thin rounds.
Add about 1lbs. of potatoes. These will be eaten quickly for certain! This should serve 4 as a side dish.
Add about 1 to 2 teaspoons of turmeric powder to the potatoes and be GENEROUS on the black pepper with about 1/2 a teaspoon and add salt to taste (always under salt your meals). If you want to add more flavor, add coriander powder, and smoked paprika powder for extra yum!
Add about 1/4 teaspoon of salt. It is a small amount but once you add the Cultivo Turmeric, its fresh flavor will help to cut down on salt intake. Besides it's always better to add less salt to all your dishes and allow your hungry guests, roommates or family to salt their own dishes if they need more. Always, always under salt, and not over salt!
5. Add about 1 tablespoon of cold pressed virgin olive oil. This helps carry the high count of Curcumin content that our Cultivo Turmeric powder contains. You can add more oil if you think it is necessary but cooking the potatoes this way, shouldn't need much oil.
6. Mix everything together and broil on high for about 8 minutes. Take the potatoes out of the oven and flip them once to cook on the other side for about 4 to 5 minutes. They should be done! Take a fork and check the insides to be sure. Add more time if needed.
You can experiment and add other veggies to the dish! This is another great combo with green string beans.
