Testing was done for a turmeric product ingredient in a formula for one of our US partners using our Cultivo Turmeric as the ingredient. Standard testing and liquid chromatography tests were performed. The essential compound curcumin in our Cultivo Turmeric, for overall health and recovery, is cultivated on our food forest lots.
2. Potent! Our Cultivo Turmeric tested for Curcumin levels at a whopping 6.65% A high percentage is 5-6%. So, 5-6% of turmeric, by weight, is curcumin. The highest being 8% on average.
The percentage of curcumin in the root depends on several things including species, growing, harvest conditions and timing of harvest.
Turmeric leaves are full right before they die off for harvest of the root. Young rambutan trees benefit from the turmeric growing in the soil around them.
